Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mendocino County (BBBS)
Mission Statement: We provide professionally supported one-on-one mentoring relationships and youth development activities for all children who want or need them.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mendocino County was founded as a non-profit 501(c)3 organization in 1974 to help the community meet the needs of local children. Today, thirty-five years later, we have served thousands of youth, helping them to "change their lives by changing their perspectives." In 2008, 735 youth were served in BBBS programs such as the Community and School-Based Mentoring Programs, After School Programs, and classroom character building programs.
